Disaster Resilience and Sustainable Development 2025 "DRSD 2025" is the fourth international symposium organized by Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in association with partner institutions of the region.
The symposium will be held on 24 - 26 November 2025 at the AIT Conference Centre, Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand.
Yes. DRSD 2025 will be held in a hybrid format with both on-site and online participation options.
All academicians, scientists, engineers, research scholars, students, practitioners, policy makers, emergency managers and representatives from development agencies, private sector, govt. and non-govt. organisations working in the field of disaster risk management, climate change adaptation and sustainable development can participate and present during the symposium.
Yes. You can present your research upon acceptance by the DRSD 2025 committee. However, you will need to attend the symposium either in-person or online to present.
You can submit your abstract in the 'Abstract Submission' tab at the symposium website.
One corresponding author may only submit and present one abstract during the symposium, irrespective of the theme or type of presentation. If you have multiple abstracts, each may be submitted and presented by a different corresponding author.
Both oral and poster presentations will be available for participants attending the symposium on-site. For participants attending the symposium online, only oral presentations will be accepted. You may indicate your preferred mode of presentation (oral or poster) while submitting your abstract. However, the final presentation type will be determined by the abstract selection committee and communicated in the acceptance email.
For poster presentations, the organizers will arrange printing for all posters submitted before the given deadline. Presenters who miss the deadline will need to print and bring their own posters to the symposium. If you have already printed your poster, you are welcome to bring it along, as this also supports sustainability efforts. Please ensure that all posters conform strictly to the A0 size.
No, full papers are not mandatory for attendance and presentation during the symposium. You can attend and present based on your abstract.
Yes. All accepted abstracts presented during the symposium will have an opportunity to publish their full paper in a scopus indexed conference proceeding and/or peer-reviewed journal. The full paper submission will open after the symposium. Further details about the paper submission, review, acceptance and publication process will be communicated to accepted presenters at a later stage.
Yes. You can participate in the symposium without a presentation as well. To do so, you will need to register for the event and pay the registration fees within the deadline mentioned in the website.
Yes, all participants including presenters and attendees are required to make a payment to register and attend the symposium. Registration fees are subsidized for students and early-birds. The payment details and fees are mentioned in the "Registration" section.
Registration fee can be paid in two ways (A) Credit Card, (B) Bank Transfer.
DRSD 2025 organizer will not charge any publication charges. The publication charge may be applicable as per the publication policy of the specific Journal/Publisher. Further details will be communicated at a later stage.
DRSD 2025 does not provide any monetary support for travel or accommodation to attend the symposium. All participants must arrange for their travel/accommodation themselves. However, upon request, we will provide administrative support in selecting suitable accommodation and furnishing official invitation letters to help with your travel and visa processing. Please refer to the symposium website for more details.
